Kendriya Vidyalaya Number 3

Kendriya Vidyalaya Number 3 is tucked away in Industrial Area Phase II. Chandigarh is a very planned city, but this particular part feels a bit more rugged because of all the factories and workshops nearby. You hear the sounds of the city all day long. The school itself is a solid structure that has seen a lot of batches of students come and go. We open the gates early when the air is still a bit cool. Most of our staff has been here for years, so we all know how the local buses run and where to get a quick cup of tea nearby. It is not exactly a quiet place, but it is our place. The classrooms are filled with desks that have seen better days, but they still do the job. We spend a lot of time dealing with the basics, like making sure the fans work in the heat or that the playground isn't getting too dusty for the kids. Being in an industrial zone means we aren't surrounded by big parks, but we make do with the space we have. It is a practical environment. Parents come from different parts of Chandigarh to bring their children here. We do not spend money on glossy brochures or big advertisements. People usually find out about us from their neighbors or friends. It is a straightforward school where the day starts with a bell and ends with a lot of shouting and running.
