Zaffran Restaurant

Our place is at D 26/28 in the Inner Circle of Connaught Place. Being in the heart of Delhi means there is never a quiet moment. We see a lot of tourists walking around looking at the old buildings and locals who have been coming to CP for decades. The building we are in has that old feel to it, which we have not tried to change much. We just keep the floors clean and the kitchen running. Most of our day is spent prepping ingredients and making sure we are ready for the lunch rush. It gets pretty hectic around 1:00 PM. We have a mix of people working here, some who have been with us since we opened and others who are just starting out. We do not have a corporate handbook or anything like that. We just talk to each other and get the work done. The address is easy to find if you know the Inner Circle well. Sometimes we stand outside for a minute just to breathe in the air and watch the cars go around the circle. It is a lot of work running a restaurant in such a busy area, but we are used to it by now. We do not use any fancy tricks to get people in. We just stay open and keep the lights on. If the food is good, people come back, and that is basically all we care about.
