Dhaba

We go by the name Dhaba and you can find us at 12 Aurangzeb Road. We are part of The Claridges, which is a well-known spot in the 110011 area of Delhi. This part of the city has a lot of history and the roads are lined with big old trees. Our daily life is pretty consistent. We come in, check the kitchen, and get everything ready for the day. It’s not like those loud roadside places because we are inside the hotel grounds, but we try to keep a real feeling to everything we do. We don’t have any corporate speeches prepared. We are just a team of people who work at this address. The mornings are usually quiet and then things pick up as the day goes on. You can hear the city outside, but it feels a bit different here on Aurangzeb Road. We don’t use any marketing language because we think it sounds fake. We just show up and do the work that needs doing. Sometimes things are busy and sometimes they are slow, just like any other business. We aren't trying to be anything other than a place to eat in Delhi. The staff has been here for a while and we have a good routine down. It’s a simple operation at a nice address, and we just keep it moving one day at a time. No big fuss about it.
