Beena Sharma

Tis Hazari is famous for many things, mostly the courts and the chaos of the Main Road. Beena Sharma is located at number 3, right where the pulse of the area is strongest. It’s a noisy place to work, honestly. You have the rickshaws, the lawyers rushing about, and the street vendors all making a lot of sound from morning until evening. Our space is just a small room that we’ve made functional. It’s got a few cupboards for storage and a desk that takes up most of the floor space. We don't spend money on decorations because that’s not what we’re about. We’re here to work. Most of the day is spent handling visitors who come in with questions. Since we’re on the Main Road, we get a lot of walk-ins. Some are looking for us, and some are just lost. We try to help everyone out. The air is always a bit dusty, and the tea is always served in those small glass cups from the shop around the corner. It’s a grit-and-grind kind of life. We don't have a website or a big marketing plan. People just know we’re at number 3. We keep our overheads low and our heads down. It’s a simple existence in one of the busiest parts of the city, and we’ve grown to appreciate the madness of Tis Hazari.
