Sri Roda Foods

Sri Roda Foods is just a small spot we have over here at Rani Jhansi Road 42 in the Jhandewalan area of Delhi. If you know this part of the city, you know it gets pretty busy with all the cars and people moving around near Bhcahpan. We started doing this quite a while ago. We just wanted to have a place of our own. Most days start early for us, usually before the sun is even fully up, so we can get everything ready for when the first people walk in. It’s not a big corporate operation. It is just a few of us making sure the food is handled right. The building itself has its quirks. For example, the door sticks a bit when it’s raining, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or trying to look like those big chains you see in the malls. We just focus on the daily tasks. Keeping the counters clean and the stock filled up takes most of our time. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to shout a bit to hear each other. That’s just how life is on Rani Jhansi Road. We’ve seen a lot of neighbors come and go over the years while we stayed right here at number 42. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours. Still, it feels good to be part of the local community. It is a simple life but it is ours.
