Sri Chakra South Indian Restaurant

We are located inside the South Indian Hotel on Padam Singh Road. Being in Karol Bagh means there is always a lot of traffic and people walking by. If you know Ajmal Khan Road, we are quite close to that corner. I’ve been working here for a few years now. The morning rush for breakfast is usually the loudest time. We make a lot of idlis and dosas every single day. The batter is something we have to get right every evening for the next morning. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the street, which is a bit of a headache for our regulars. The dining room isn't huge but we try to keep it clean for the families who come in. A lot of shoppers from the market stop by when they get tired of walking around. It gets quite cramped on the weekends. We have a few staff members who have been with us since the start. We just serve the food we grew up eating. It’s hard to find good South Indian stuff in this part of town sometimes, so we do our part. The kitchen is always busy with the sound of the grinders. Padam Singh Road is a busy place to be. We don't do anything flashy or polished. It's just a regular spot to sit down and eat some sambar and rice. We hope the food tastes like home for whoever stops by.
