About Sindhi Corner – Food & Beverages in Central Delhi
We’ve been here at 53/27 Ramjes Road for a long time now. Karol Bagh is always loud and moving, and we are right in the middle of it. Most days start early with the stove getting hot and the smell of spices filling up the small space. It’s not a fancy place where you sit for hours. People come in, grab what they need, and head back to work or shopping. We see the same faces every morning, mostly shopkeepers from nearby or folks catching the bus. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, like when it pours and the street gets messy, but we keep the doors open anyway. There is always something to fry or a bowl to fill. The counters get sticky and we wipe them down a hundred times a day. My hands usually smell like oil and cumin by noon. It’s just how it is here. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure the snacks are ready before the afternoon rush hits. You can hear the traffic honking outside while you eat. It’s noisy, but it’s our spot. We just focus on keeping the food hot and making sure nobody waits too long. It’s a simple way to spend the day, watching the crowds go by while we stay busy behind the counter. There isn't much more to it than that, just keeping the fire going and the bags filled for whoever stops by.
