Shri Shyam Food Point

This little spot in Karol Bagh Najafgarh stays pretty active. Most mornings, we're just getting the equipment ready and checking what we need for the day's cooking. It isn't a very large place, but we make it work with what we have. People usually stop by when they're in a hurry, looking for something to eat before they move on to their next task. The noise from the street is always there, so you have to talk a bit louder to be heard over the traffic. We spend most of our time near the heat, making sure everything is ready on time. It gets tiring, especially in the summer months when the air is thick. We don't really do anything fancy with the decor or the way we present things. It’s just food in a plate or a bag, handed over the counter. Some days are slower than others, but there’s always something to clean or a stack of dishes to handle. We’ve been here long enough that we know the guys in the shops next door quite well. We often share a cup of tea when things quiet down in the afternoon. It’s a basic routine, but it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. There isn't much to say beyond that, we just keep the stoves going and serve whoever comes through the door. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to feed the local crowd.
