Shangrila Impex

Our place is over at 95 Model Basti. It’s pretty easy to find because we are right opposite Filmistan Cinema. If you see the car parking area, you’re basically there. Shangrila Impex isn't some big corporate building with glass walls. It’s more of a warehouse feel where we keep all our stock and papers. Things get a bit crowded inside sometimes with all the boxes coming in and going out. We deal with a lot of different goods. It depends on the season and what people are asking for. The noise from the cinema crowd can be a lot on weekends, but we’re used to it by now. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists to make sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy on the desk. My cousin helps out with the logistics and sometimes we have a couple of guys to help move the heavy stuff. It's not a glamorous job. We just try to keep things moving. The parking lot across from us is always full so it’s a busy corner of the city. We’ve been at this spot for a few years. It suits us because it's central and people can find us without a map. We don’t really do much advertising. People find out about us through word of mouth or just seeing the sign when they go to the movies. It is just a regular way to make a living.
