Ashok Manufacturing Company Pvt Ltd has been based at 12 Scindia House for a long time. We are up on the second floor, right in the middle of Connaught Circus. It is a very busy part of Delhi, and you can always hear the traffic and the people shouting down on the street. The building itself is quite old and has a lot of character. You have to walk up the stairs to get to us, and the hallways are usually a bit dim. Inside our office, there are high ceilings and a lot of old wooden desks covered in papers and files. We do not have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you with a smile. It is just a place where we sit and get the manufacturing business sorted out. The windows are large, but they let in a lot of dust from the city outside. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, so we just wait it out or use the backup. Most of us have worked here for years and we know the neighborhood like the back of our hands. We get our tea from the same guy downstairs every morning. It is a simple setup, and we do not spend much time worrying about how the office looks. We just focus on the orders and making sure the factory side of things is running as it should be. It is just a regular office in a very old, historic building.
