Occasions Restaurant & Party Place

If you go over to the Hansdhwani Theatre area in Pragati Maidan, you’ll find us there. It’s an interesting spot because there is always some kind of event or fair happening nearby. When a big show is on, we get really slammed with people coming in for a quick bite or to host a small gathering. The kitchen is usually loud with the sound of pans clanking and the chefs shouting out orders. We have a lot of tables to clear, and it feels like we are constantly moving chairs around to make space for different groups. It’s not the quietest place to eat, especially when there’s a party going on in the back room. We’ve seen all sorts of celebrations here, from birthdays to people just happy to be out for the night. The walls are covered in some old photos and stuff from past years. We don't have a manager in a suit walking around; it’s mostly just us in our aprons trying to keep the food coming out on time. Sometimes we run out of certain ingredients if the delivery truck is late, and we just have to tell people we don't have it today. It’s a bit chaotic at times, but that’s just how it goes when you’re in the middle of a place like Pragati Maidan. We just try to keep everyone fed and get the dishes washed. When the lights go down for a show nearby, we get a little break before the next rush starts.
