You can find us at Office No. 5224/4 inside Nigam Market on G B Road. It’s a hectic place to be, especially in the early morning when all the produce is arriving. Mount Mary Vegetables is right in the middle of all that action. We deal with fresh stuff every day, so there’s always a lot of lifting and moving crates around. The air in the market usually smells like earth and fresh greens. It’s a noisy environment with people shouting prices and trucks idling outside. Our office is more of a base where we handle the paperwork and keep track of what’s coming in and going out. We don’t have fancy chairs or decor; it’s all very functional. We’ve been part of the G B Road market scene for a while now and we know the rhythms of the place. Some days the supply is great and other days it’s a struggle to find what we need. We just take it as it comes. It’s a lot of physical labor and long hours, starting well before the sun comes up. Most of our customers are locals or other stall owners who need specific things. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just get the vegetables from the farms to the people who need them. It’s basic, essential work that keeps us busy all year round.
