Maxx The Food Lounge

Maxx The Food Lounge is tucked away in Jawahar Nagar at 17-Ub. It’s a bit of a funny name for a place that's mostly just some tables and a kitchen, but it stuck. We get a lot of students from the nearby colleges because we're right in that hub. The walls have some old posters on them and the lighting is a little dim, but it makes for a decent place to hang out between classes. We aren't some high-end restaurant with waiters in suits. It’s mostly just us in the back cooking up whatever people order. 17-Ub isn't hard to find if you know the area, though the street can get pretty narrow with all the parked scooters. Sometimes the music is a bit loud because the younger guys like it that way, and other times it's just the sound of the pans clanking. We’ve had some long nights here, especially during exam season when everyone stays out late. The furniture is a mix of stuff we’ve picked up over time, nothing matches perfectly. We just wanted a spot where the food is filling and nobody cares if you stay for an hour just talking. It gets pretty hot in the summer, but we have the fans going full blast. Running Maxx The Food Lounge keeps us busy enough, and Jawahar Nagar always has something going on. It’s a decent life, even if it gets a bit hectic. We're usually the ones cleaning up long after the street goes quiet.
