Grovers Selection

We are located at 1187 Main Bazar in Paharganj. If you’ve ever walked through the Main Bazar, you know it’s a total madhouse with the backpackers and the cows and the rickshaws all trying to use the same narrow road. Grovers Selection has been right in the middle of it for years. The shop is narrow and goes back a long way. We’ve got shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling. Half the time I need a ladder to find what a customer is asking for. It’s dusty work, and the fan overhead makes a clicking sound that we’ve stopped hearing. Paharganj is a strange place because you meet people from all over the world just standing outside your door. We don't have a marketing department. We just put our stuff out and hope people like what they see. My brother and I take turns at the shop. One of us is usually out getting supplies while the other stays here. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to strangers. We don’t have a mission statement or any of that corporate stuff. We just try to sell things for a fair price so we can come back and do it again tomorrow. The rent keeps going up, which is a headache, but we manage to stay afloat. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us on our feet. Sometimes we close early if there is a festival nearby.
