Durga Trading Co.

We are located at 1679/6 on Dakhni Rai Street in Daryaganj. This is a very old and crowded part of the city, and our shop is right in the middle of all that history. We are a trading company, so we are constantly buying and selling various goods. The shop itself is small and packed with boxes from floor to ceiling. There isn’t much room to move around, but we have our system and we know where everything is kept. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We spend our mornings opening up the shop and checking our ledgers. The street outside is so narrow that sometimes even a cycle rickshaw has trouble getting through, which makes loading and unloading a bit of a challenge. We don’t have a website or any fancy branding. Most of our customers are people we have known for years who just stop by or call us on the phone. It’s noisy and dusty, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s our place and we’ve been here for a long time. We drink a lot of tea and talk to other traders on the street throughout the day. It’s just how life is in Daryaganj. We don’t try to be anything special; we just handle our trades and make sure our customers get what they asked for without any trouble.
