B M C Fly Ash Bricks is tucked away near the Sethbagan Post Office in the Ghughudanga area. Our office is actually in the Uttarayan Apartment on Skb Sarani, which is a bit different from having a massive factory gate. It is a neighborhood where everyone kind of knows everyone else. We spend our time managing the production and making sure the bricks get delivered to the various construction sites around the city. It is a lot of phone calls and checking on the yard. Being near the post office makes it easy to give directions to people who haven't been here before. We aren't a huge company with hundreds of employees. It is a small team of us handling everything from the raw material intake to the final delivery. The work can be tiring, especially when the humidity picks up, but we just get on with it. We do not use any fancy sales pitches. If the bricks are good, people buy them. That is how we have always looked at it. Sometimes the traffic on Skb Sarani is a nightmare, but we manage. We have been part of this community for a while, and we like the fact that we are providing something useful for local housing. It is not glamorous, but it is a steady trade and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We just stay focused on the next order.
