Ujhani Fed Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in Kathuli. Birendra Pal Singh is the main contact person here. We are a group of farmers who came together to form this federation because it makes the whole process of farming a bit more organized. Kathuli is our home and most of us have been working these fields for decades. This company isn't about being fancy. It’s about the reality of seeds, fertilizers, and getting our produce to the market without getting a bad deal. We meet up often to discuss how things are going. Sometimes the conversations are long because everyone has a different opinion on how to handle the latest pests or the rain schedule. We don’t have a professional office staff. We do the work ourselves, from the tilling to the records. It’s a lot of responsibility but it’s better than being on your own. People here know each other well. We share what we have and try to help out when someone’s tractor breaks down or a crop is failing. Being a farmer producer company allows us to stand a bit stronger. It is honest work, even if it is exhausting most of the time. We don't have any big promises to make. We just work hard and hope for a decent harvest every year. That’s the life we’ve chosen here in Kathuli and we're sticking to it.
