You can find us at Khem Karan Lal’s spot in Maroripbt. It is a quiet area most of the time unless it is planting season. We are just a group of local people who decided it was better to work as a team than to keep struggling alone. The office is really just part of the house where we keep the registers and talk to anyone who stops by. There are a lot of farms around here in the Bahadurganj area and we all know each other. It is not a formal place at all. You might see some goats or chickens wandering near the door while we are inside discussing the seed situation or the tractor parts we need. Sometimes we have tea and just complain about the rain or the lack of it. We are not some big corporation from the city. We are just neighbors trying to get a better price for what we grow. The paperwork can be a real headache but we manage it somehow between the chores. It is mostly about the community and making sure no one gets left behind. We don't use fancy words here. If someone needs help with their crop, they just come over and we see what we can do together. It is a basic way of living but it works for us. We spend most of our time out in the dirt anyway, so the office is just for the essentials.
