Saimultala Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are a group of farmers around Kharija Naldhondra. Saimultala Farmer Producer Company Limited started because we needed a way to deal with our crops together. Sushil Ch Das helps out at the office here in Patchara. It isn't a big fancy place, just a spot where we can meet and talk about the seeds and what the soil is doing this season. Most of us have been farming these lands for years. We decided that being a company would help us get better prices for what we grow. It gets pretty dusty out here during the dry months, but we keep at it. People stop by Sushil’s place when they have questions about their harvest. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just the local guys trying to make sure our families can keep the farms going. Sometimes the weather doesn't help much, but that's just how it goes in agriculture. We try to help each other with tools when someone's tractor is down or when the rain comes too early. If you are looking for us, we are right there in the village area. It's a simple setup. We spend most of our time out in the fields anyway, not sitting behind desks. That is how we like it, just keeping things honest and working the ground together to make a living.
