Tuktuki Mondal runs things here at the Seharakuri Vivekananda Farmer'S Producer Company Limited. We're situated at Dag No-105 in the village of Seourakuri, right here in the Birbhum district. It’s a small operation, really just a few of us working together to help the local farmers get their crops sorted and sold. Birbhum is a place with a lot of tradition, and we try to keep that spirit in how we do business. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just talk to our neighbors and work out the details of the harvest over tea. Sometimes the days are long, especially when we have to travel around the local villages to check on the progress of the crops. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we run into problems with the weather or getting things transported, but we just keep pushing through. We aren't some distant corporation; we live right here and know the people we're working with by name. Our goal is just to make sure the farmers in Seourakuri have someone looking out for their interests. We deal with the day-to-day tasks that come with producing food, and we try to do it as honestly as we can. It's a busy life, but it’s what we know. We've been here for years and we're just part of the community, trying to make things work together every year.
