About Star Track Senior Secondary School – Education in Bikaner
We are tucked away in Khaturia Colony here in Bikaner. It’s a regular part of town, not too noisy most of the time except when the school bell rings. Star Track Senior Secondary School has been here for a good while, and we just go about our days. The building is a simple one, nothing fancy to look at from the outside, but it gets the job done for everyone. In the mornings, you can see parents dropping off their kids on scooters and the local rickshaws lined up near the entrance. The heat in Bikaner can be quite a lot during the summer months, so we try to keep the classrooms as cool as possible with the ceiling fans going all day. Sometimes they squeak, but we’re used to it. The staff room is usually a mess of papers and tea cups because there’s always something to mark or a lesson to plan. We don’t have a massive playground, but the kids find space to run around during the lunch break. It gets pretty loud then. Mostly, it’s just about getting through the syllabus and making sure the students turn up on time. We have those old wooden desks that have seen better days, but they still work fine for the lessons. People in the colony know us well enough. Life here is slow, and we just keep the gates open and the lights on, day after day, trying to help the local kids learn their math and science without too much fuss.
