Parsuram Colony is a quiet enough place, and that’s where we are, right off Jaipur Road in Bikaner. Being on the Jaipur Road side means we see a lot of people passing through on their way into the city. Bikaner has that specific feel to it, with the sand and the history, and we’re just one small part of it. Ars Vidya Mandir has been operating as a secondary school for a while now. We don't have a big corporate office or a board of directors. It’s mostly just a few of us making the decisions as we go. The classrooms are simple. We have the usual desks and blackboards. You won't find any slick advertisements for us in the newspapers. Usually, a family sends one child here, and then the younger siblings follow a few years later. That’s how we’ve stayed in business. The wind in Bikaner can get pretty strong, so we’re always sweeping out the dust from the entryways. We spend our time checking homework and making sure the kids stay on track with the state board requirements. It’s practical work. We don't talk about grand visions. We just talk about math, science, and making sure the students show up on time. It’s a local school for local people, and that suits us just fine.
