Shishu Watika Adrash Vidya Mandir is right at Pipli Chowk on the Nokha Main Road. If you know Bikaner, you know how busy that road can get with all the trucks and local traffic passing through. Our school is a bit of a landmark for people living around here. We deal with a lot of younger children, so the place is always loud. There is always someone crying or someone laughing or someone running where they shouldn't be. The building is older, but it serves its purpose well enough for what we do every day. We spend a lot of time just managing the chaos of a school day. The staff here at Nokha usually get in early to sweep the floors and get the chalk ready. We don't have any big slogans or flashy signs. Most parents just know us because their older kids came here too. It is a practical place. We focus on the basics of reading and writing. Sometimes the dust from the main road gets into the front rooms, so we are always cleaning. It is just a part of life in Bikaner. We have a small area for the kids to sit together. We don't try to be anything we are not. It is just a local school where we try to help the kids learn their first letters and numbers without too much fuss. The bells ring loud and clear over the traffic.
