Satyam Academy Sen Sec School

Satyam Academy is based in Napasar, which is a busy little place near Bikaner. The school has been part of the local scene for a while now. We are a senior secondary school, so we deal with both the younger kids and the older ones who are getting ready to move on to college. The building is tucked away in the town and it has a very lived-in feel to it. There are always posters and student work taped to the walls, though some of them are starting to curl at the edges. We don't have a professional cleaning crew or anything like that; we all just pitch in to keep the place decent. The stairs are narrow and you can hear the footsteps echoing when the classes change. It is often quite loud with the sound of voices from the street mixing with the teachers inside. We don't have any polished mission statements or fancy slogans. We are just here to provide a place for students to come and do their work. The furniture is basic and some of it has been repaired many times over the years. Napasar is a close-knit community, so we see the same faces every day at the market or on the way to work. It makes the school feel like a natural part of the neighborhood. We just do our jobs, keep the registers updated, and make sure the gates are locked at night.
