Bidar Horticulture Farmer Producer Company Limited

In the northern part of Karnataka, specifically in Bidar, you can find our office at Kashibai Layout in the Gumppa area. We are located at CMC No. 1 7-4-372/46, and the place is C/O Srinivas, the son of Devendra Natekar. It’s a very local operation. We don’t have a big fancy building with a lobby. Instead, we work out of a house that serves as our headquarters for the horticulture farmers here. Most of our members are from the nearby villages and they drop in whenever they are in town for errands. We talk about the crops, the weather, and how to get things moved from one place to another. Bidar has its own unique climate and we’ve all grown up knowing how it works. Our day usually starts with a lot of talk and some tea. We aren’t trying to be some huge corporation that loses touch with the ground. We are the ground. The paperwork can be a headache sometimes, and we aren’t always the fastest at it, but we get the job done. It’s a quiet layout, mostly residential, so it feels like a neighborly place to work. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out in the fields seeing how the fruits and vegetables are coming along. It’s just us, a few desks, and a whole lot of local farming knowledge that we share among ourselves while trying to keep the ledger books straight.
