Yusuf Gents Parlour

Being in the Main Market of Jahangirabad means there’s always noise and movement outside. Yusuf Gents Parlour is right there near the Masjid, so we hear the calls for prayer throughout the day. It’s a busy part of Bhopal, and our shop fits right into that rhythm. We’ve been cutting hair here for quite some time now. The shop isn't very big, but we make do with the space we have. There are usually a few bikes parked out front and people walking by constantly. Inside, we have our basic tools, the spray bottles, and the old razors. We mostly do simple cuts and shaves for the local men and boys who live nearby. It’s the kind of place where you can hear the latest market gossip or just sit quietly while we work. The mirrors are a bit old, and the chairs have some wear on them, but they’re comfortable enough for a twenty-minute visit. We don't really do anything complicated. Most people just want a clean look so they can get back to their business in the market. On Fridays, it gets especially crowded because of the location. We just keep our heads down and keep working until the last person is done. It’s just how things go in this part of town. Sometimes the tea man from next door drops by, and we take a quick break, but otherwise, we’re usually at the chairs doing our thing for the neighborhood guys.
