Prakash Hair Saloon

Opening up Shop-2 every morning in Khajuri Kalan is just what I do. Being near the Main Road here in Bhopal means there is always noise and people passing by, which is fine because it keeps things interesting. Prakash Hair Saloon isn't a fancy place with big lights or anything like that. It is just a small shop where I have a few chairs and some mirrors that have seen better days. I started this place in Balaji Nagar because I live nearby and wanted to work for myself. Mostly, it is just neighbors who come in for a quick trim or a shave before they head to work. Sometimes kids come in and they can't sit still, which makes the job harder, but we manage. I don't really have a big philosophy about hair. If you want it short, I cut it short. The fans hum all day and we keep the door open for a breeze, though it just brings in the dust from the road. People come here to talk about the local news or just to sit for a minute while they wait. It gets crowded on Sundays, so there is a bit of a wait then. I try to keep the floor swept but hair gets everywhere anyway. It is just a regular life here at the saloon. We are right by the main road, so you can't really miss us if you are walking through the market area.
