Monica Hair Parlour

Monica Hair Parlour is located right on the main road of Khajuri Kalan, at shop number five. If you are standing in front of SOS, you can see our sign pretty clearly. It's a small shop, mostly just for hair. We do cutting, coloring, and some basic styling for parties. I’ve lived in Bhopal all my life, and opening this shop was just something I did to stay busy and help out with the bills. The neighborhood is growing, so there are always new faces coming in. We keep a few magazines on the table, though they are usually a bit old. The floor is easy to clean, which is good because hair gets everywhere. We don't have an air conditioner, just a big ceiling fan that works hard in the summer. People stop by after work or on their way to the market. It's a casual place. You don't need an appointment or anything, you just walk in and if a chair is free, you sit down. I handle most of the customers myself, but sometimes my daughter helps out on the weekends. We use the standard shampoos and soaps. It’s not a luxury spa, just a place to get your hair trimmed so you look neat for the week. The rain sometimes leaks a bit near the door, but we just put a mat down. It’s just how we do things here and it works out fine for us.
