Wind N Waves Restaurant

Wind N Waves Restaurant is sitting right on Lake Drive Road. If you are familiar with the Van Vihar Road in Bhopal, you probably know where we are. It’s a basic place really. We are right by the Upper Lake, which means we get a lot of wind coming off the water. That is probably why the name stuck. We spend a lot of our mornings just setting up the tables and making sure the kitchen is ready for whoever comes in. It’s not a corporate setup with a lot of rules. We just work here. The road outside can get a bit noisy with people heading to the park, but inside it is mostly just the sound of the kitchen and people talking. We don't have a big fancy menu, just the usual things people like to eat when they are out for a drive. The staff lives nearby, so we walk or bike to work. On days when it rains, the lake looks totally different and we have to move the tables around to keep things dry. We don't have any big marketing plans. We just keep the lights on and serve the food. It’s a lot of sweeping and mopping because of the dust from the road. We’ve been here for a while and we know the neighborhood. It is just a simple restaurant on the lake road where you can stop by. We aren't trying to be anything special, just a place to eat by the water.
