Balveer Da Punjabi Dhaba

If you are driving down the 80 Feet Road in Ashoka Garden, you will find us near Hotel Maanpreet. Bhopal can be a dusty city sometimes, especially with all the construction and traffic, but we stay right here at 108. We have been serving Punjabi food for quite some time. It is a simple dhaba style, nothing like those expensive restaurants in the malls. We have tables where people can just sit and eat without any fuss. The road outside is always loud with bikes and cars going past. Sometimes the power goes out, but we keep the stoves running. My family helps out with the cooking and the cleaning. We get a lot of workers and families who want a heavy meal that feels like it was made at home. We use a lot of butter and spices, just like how things are done back in Punjab. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first opened our doors. More shops have come up, but we are still in the same spot. We do not have a fancy menu card, just the usual things people like to eat. It gets very busy in the evenings when people are coming home from work. We just keep our heads down and work until the last customer leaves. It is a tough job but we like it. We have made many friends among the regulars who stop by every week.
