Turning Point Restaurant

Turning Point Restaurant is located at B 76 in the Crystal Tower. This is right in the Kasturba Nagar area of Bhopal, not too far from the Chetak Bridge. Being near a bridge means there is always a lot of movement and dust, but it also means we get a lot of people passing through. We’ve been here for a bit now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. The restaurant itself isn't anything spectacular to look at from the outside. We have some tables, some chairs, and a kitchen that has seen a lot of use over the years. We mostly serve the local families and the office workers who don't want to cook at home. The menu is just things we know how to make well. We don't try to do anything too experimental because that usually goes wrong. Usually, the morning starts with cleaning the floors and checking the vegetable delivery. If the tomatoes aren't good, the whole day feels off. We try to keep the prices where they are so people can come back a few times a week without thinking too much about it. Bhopal has its own pace, and we just fit into it. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use the lanterns, but the customers are used to it by now. We just keep going, serving one plate at a time until the lights go out.
