Timber Hut

Timber Hut is our little shop over in Gautam Nagar, right across from Bank Colony. If you walk into shop 306, you’ll probably find me covered in a bit of sawdust. I’ve been working with wood for a long time, and this place in Bhopal is where I do most of my building and repairs. It’s not a huge showroom or anything; it’s more of a working space where things actually get made. The smell of cut wood is something I’ve grown used to over the years. We handle all sorts of orders, from small cupboards to fixing up old chairs that have seen better days. It gets pretty loud in here with the saws running, so sometimes I miss the phone ringing. My neighbor from the bank colony often drops by just to chat or see what I’m working on. It’s a quiet enough area, but the work keeps me busy from morning until late evening. I don’t use any fancy machines; mostly just the tools I’ve had for a decade. Sometimes a piece of timber doesn't behave the way you want it to, which can be frustrating, but that’s just the nature of the material. I try to keep things simple and honest. If a job is going to take a week, I’ll tell you it takes a week. I’m just a guy who likes making things out of wood and trying to earn a living here in the city.
