The Beauty World Salon & Training Center

Our place is located on the first floor of the Amaltas Narmada Appartment in Katara Hills. It is Flat Number F-2, so you have to walk up the stairs and you will find us right there in the first floor hallway. Being in a residential colony like Swarn Kunj makes it feel a lot different than a shop on a main road. It is usually quieter here except for when the training center is full of students. The Beauty World Salon & Training Center is where we spend most of our day teaching young girls how to handle a pair of scissors or apply makeup properly. The light comes in through the balcony windows in the morning and makes the whole room look bright. We have some training heads set up on the tables for practice and the trainees are always busy practicing braids or skin treatments on each other. People from the nearby apartments usually call ahead before they walk over because they know we might be in the middle of a class. It is a bit of a climb to get up here if you are tired but most people don't mind the walk. We keep some magazines on the center table and there is always a pot of water ready for anyone who is thirsty. It feels more like a busy house than a formal business because of the way the rooms are set up in the flat. We just do our work and help the girls learn a trade they can use later.
