Taste Of Punjab

Down here in Indrapuri at C sector, we have been running Taste Of Punjab for a while. We are right near Gaurav Dairy, so that is usually how people describe where we are when they are giving directions to their friends. Bhopal is a nice city and this neighborhood has a good mix of families and students who are always looking for something to eat. Our shop is just a simple place where we do the cooking and serving ourselves. It gets pretty hot in the kitchen during the summer months but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. We don't have any big corporate backing or anything like that, it is just a small local team. The morning starts with getting the vegetables from the market and then we spend a few hours chopping and getting the spices ready for the day. It’s funny how you get to know everyone's name after they come in a few times a week. We don't really use any fancy recipes, just the stuff we learned growing up. The space isn't huge so sometimes people have to wait a few minutes for a table but nobody seems to mind too much. We just try to make sure there is enough food for everyone before we close up for the night. It is hard work but it keeps us busy and we like the routine of it all here in Indrapuri.
