Shikha Herbal Beauty Parlour

Shikha Herbal Beauty Parlour is situated at Shop No-2 in Ashoka Vihar. This is part of the Nagar Nigam Colony in Bhopal. It is a quiet residential neighborhood and we are tucked away in a small row of shops. I mostly focus on herbal treatments because that is what I learned from my mother back home. We do not use a lot of those heavy chemicals you see in the big malls. The shop is small and I usually work alone or with one assistant during the festive season. People in Nagar Nigam Colony know us as the place to go for a simple thread or a henna pack. The walls are painted a light green to match the herbal theme, though the paint is peeling a little near the window. Bhopal summers are very hot, so we have a ceiling fan that runs all day long to keep the customers comfortable. There is a small tea stall next door, so there is always the smell of ginger tea floating in. I like the routine of opening up the shutters every morning and sweeping the front step. It is a modest business but it pays the bills and keeps me busy. Most of my customers are my neighbors, so we spend a lot of time talking about local news while I work. I hope to stay here for a while.
