Shanghai Post

You can find us at Stall No 7 inside the DB City Mall. It stays pretty busy here on Hoshangabad Road, especially on the weekends when everyone comes to Arera Hills for shopping. Shanghai Post is a small setup, just a stall really, but we stay on our feet most of the day. We spend a lot of time prepping veggies and getting the sauces ready before the mall even opens its doors. Once the lunch rush starts, it’s just one order after another. The kitchen gets hot and cramped, but that’s just how mall food courts are. We see all kinds of people, from teenagers hanging out after a movie to families taking a break from buying clothes. Sometimes we run out of things if the crowd is bigger than we expected, but we try our best to keep up. It’s a lot of work being in a place like DB City because the pace never really slows down until the mall lights start dimming. We don't have a big seating area of our own, so people just grab their food and find a spot in the main court. It’s loud and energetic most of the time. We’ve been here for a bit now and have some regulars who work in the other shops and come by for their daily meal. It’s a decent living and we like being part of the hustle here in Bhopal.
