Sangam Mens Parlour

Sangam Mens Parlour is right at Plot No 2 near the Peergate Square area. If you know Bhopal, you know how busy Peergate gets during the day with all the shoppers and vehicles moving through. Our shop is right in the thick of it. It’s a basic setup with big mirrors on the walls and those heavy chairs that have seen a lot of years. Men come in here for a quick haircut or a shave before they head off to work or after they finish their shift. We don’t have any fancy music playing, just the sound of the clippers and maybe the radio or the news if the television is on. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast so we are always sweeping it up between customers. It’s a place where people talk about the local news or just sit quietly while they get a trim. The chairs are lined up against the wall and there is a small bench for those waiting their turn. Sometimes when it’s hot outside the shop feels like a relief because of the big ceiling fans blowing the air around. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and we know the faces of the people who live in this part of town. It isn’t anything elaborate, just a regular shop where a man can get his hair cut and a shave without any fuss. The mirrors are a bit spotted and the walls could use a new coat of paint, but it works for us and the people who come here.
