Rubaab Restaurant

We are tucked into Shop No 4 and 5 of the Mahakali Housing Society in Gulmohar Colony. Bhopal is a big city but this little corner of Trilanga feels like its own neighborhood. Being so close to Aura Mall means we see a lot of people who are out for the day. Our restaurant is a straightforward place where we focus on the cooking rather than having a polished look. The walls have a few scuffs and the lighting is just normal, nothing like the high-end places in the mall. We start our day early to get the kitchen prepped before the first customers show up. Most of the people who eat here live in the colony or close by, so we see the same faces quite often. It is a good feeling when someone comes back every week. We have some outdoor space but most people prefer to sit inside when it gets hot. The menu is just printed on regular paper and we change things when we need to. It is just a small business trying to do things the right way without any big marketing budgets or fancy talk. We do not have a mission statement or anything, we just show up and cook. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded with parked cars, but that is just part of being in this part of town. It is a decent, honest place to have dinner with your family.
