Ritu Hair & Mens Parlour

We are right at Trilanga Chouraha in the Trilanga area of Bhopal. If you live around here, you know how busy this crossing gets, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home. Our shop, Ritu Hair & Mens Parlour, is just a regular spot for the guys in the locality to come in and get things cleaned up. We do hair cutting and shaving, and maybe a head massage if someone is feeling tired after a long day at work. The chairs are a bit old but they are comfortable enough for a twenty-minute sit. We keep the news running on a small television in the corner so people have something to look at while they wait their turn. There are usually a couple of guys sitting on the bench outside chatting about cricket or the local politics. It is a man’s space mostly. We do not have any fancy air conditioning, just a couple of good ceiling fans that do the job even when Bhopal gets really hot in May. I have lived in this city all my life and I like being part of this neighborhood. You see the same faces every month. Sometimes a student from the nearby colleges stops by for a trendy style they saw on the internet, and we do our best with it. It is just a straightforward business where we work hard and hope people come back next time they need a trim.
