Ramesh Hair Cuting Salon is on Brij Colony Road, right near the Karond Chouraha in Bhopal. Being so close to the chouraha means it’s always busy outside with people going to and from the market. Our shop is a small place where we’ve been cutting hair for a long time. It’s not fancy at all, just some chairs and the basic stuff you need for a haircut. We get a lot of guys who stop in while they’re out running errands in Karond. It’s a convenient spot for them. We try to work fast so people don’t have to wait too long, but sometimes there’s a bit of a queue. The floor gets covered in hair pretty quickly, so we’re always sweeping up. We’ve seen the area around Brij Colony change quite a bit over the years, but our shop stays mostly the same. We don’t have any fancy chairs that recline all the way back, but they’re comfortable enough for a twenty-minute cut. We enjoy the talk in the shop, usually about the local weather or whatever is happening at the crossroads nearby. It’s a very local business, and we know most of our customers by their faces if not their names. We’re just a small part of the life here in Karond, doing what we know how to do best. We open early and close late to make sure everyone gets a turn.
