Maharashtra Hair Saloon

Maharashtra Hair Saloon has been sitting here in Panchvati Market for a long time. We are right in the middle of Saket Nagar in Bhopal. It is the kind of place where you know everyone’s name and their kids’ names too. The market is usually a bit of a mess with people buying groceries, and my shop is just another small part of that daily life. I have a couple of old barber chairs that are very comfortable, even if they squeak a little when you sit down. The walls have some posters of movie stars because I haven't bothered to take them down. It is a simple gents' place. People come in, get a trim, maybe a head massage if they have the time, and then they go about their business. I don't use any of those fancy computers to book appointments; you just come in and wait your turn. Sometimes the wait is long, so we have some old newspapers to read. The lighting isn't great, but I know these chairs and these mirrors so well that it doesn't matter much. Saket Nagar is a good place to be because people are sensible and don't expect miracles. They just want to look decent and have a bit of a chat. I have lived in Bhopal my whole life and this shop is my second home. It is not fancy, but it is reliable and the door is always open for anyone who needs a cut.
