You can find us at shop number three in the M 192 block of Awadhpuri. We are quite close to Bekanare and right next to Dhadu Aatha Chikki. That chikki shop is a good landmark because everyone stops there. Our salon is for gents and we have been in this part of Bhopal for quite some time now. It’s a small shop but we have enough space for a few guys to sit and wait. The benches are a bit old but they are comfortable enough. I like being in Awadhpuri because the community is friendly. We see a lot of the same men every few weeks. Some come for a shave and stay to talk about their families or work. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just the mirrors and our tools. The lighting is bright so we can see what we are doing clearly. Sometimes the smell of the chikki being made next door comes inside and it’s quite nice. We open up early and stay open until the street lights are on. It’s a steady rhythm of life here. We don't use any high-tech gadgets, just good old scissors and razors. It's about being a part of the neighborhood. When people walk in, they usually know someone else already sitting there. It makes the day go by faster when there is good conversation around the shop while I am working.
