New Luckey Hair Salon

We are over at Shabban Chouraha in Jahangirabad, right across from that Bank of Baroda ATM. It’s usually pretty loud outside with all the traffic passing through Bhopal, but inside it’s just the sound of scissors and the radio playing some old songs. Most folks around here know where we are. We have been here for quite some time now, just cutting hair and doing shaves for the men in the neighborhood. The shop isn’t fancy or anything like those big malls. We have our old chairs and the big mirrors that I try to keep clean when it’s not too busy. Sometimes the ATM across the street has a long line, and people just wander in here to sit in the shade and get a quick trim while they wait. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going at full speed. My brother and I usually take turns. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the sign board outside. If you are walking around Jahangirabad and need your hair shortened or just want to get rid of a beard, you can find us easily enough. We know most of the regulars by name and what they like, but new people show up every day too. It’s a simple life here, just doing the work and closing up when the sun goes down. There really is not much more to it than that.
