Nargis Gents Parlour

Nargis Gents Parlour is found in the Jahangirabad area of Bhopal, specifically near the Meat Market. We are also very close to the Masajid, so you can hear the prayers throughout the day while we work. The shop is a small, old-fashioned place that has seen a lot of people come and go over the years. It’s a gents' parlor where we focus on basic haircuts and shaves. We have the traditional barber chairs that lean back for a shave, and big mirrors that cover most of one wall. The area around the Meat Market is always bustling and noisy, but inside the shop, it’s a bit more relaxed. We have a few regulars who come in every week just for a shave and a chat. We don't have any air conditioning, just the ceiling fans that have been there for years. The walls have some old pictures on them and we keep a stack of magazines for anyone waiting. It’s a very grounded, local business. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide a service to the men in Jahangirabad who need to look tidy. The shop is often a place where people catch up on local news while they wait their turn in the chair. Every evening we wash the towels and get everything ready for the next morning. It’s a simple life and a simple shop for the community.
