Modern Jents Parlour

Modern Jents Parlour is over at Shop No. 2 on Danapani Road in Arera Colony. We are specifically in the Ishwar Nagar part of Bhopal. The shop is small but it serves the purpose. We have the usual setup with chairs, mirrors, and a cupboard for our tools. Most of the men in Arera Colony know where we are because we’ve been here for a bit. It’s a simple place for a haircut or a quick shave. We don't have any of those fancy spa treatments. Just the basics. The shop stays quite cool because of the trees outside on Danapani Road. We have a couple of benches outside for when the inside gets full. It’s mostly quiet during the weekdays, but evenings get a bit hectic. We use regular towels and combs that we wash every day. The floor is old tile and shows its age, but we keep it swept. We talk about local things like the weather or the traffic with the customers. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere. Most people come here because it’s close to their homes and they don't have to dress up or anything. We just do our work and go home at the end of the day. It’s just a normal part of life here in Ishwar Nagar, running this little shop for the local gents. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, with new shops coming and going. But we stay right here on Danapani Road. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon, so we just wait it out.
