Lucky Mens Parlours

You can find us in Arera Colony, Bhopal, right near the Sai Board. It’s a pretty well-known spot in the area. The shop is called Lucky Mens Parlours, though it’s really just a straightforward place for a haircut. We’ve got the revolving chairs and the big mirrors that every barber shop has. Most of the guys who come in are from around Arera Colony. Some have been coming to us since they were kids and now they bring their own sons. We talk about local things, the city, and whatever else is on people's minds. The heat in Bhopal can be a lot, so the ceiling fans are always on full blast. We keep a stack of newspapers for people to read while they wait their turn. It’s not a place where you need an appointment or anything fancy like that. You just walk in and wait for a chair to open up. We do a lot of shaves and simple trims. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low, but we manage just fine with what we have. The walls have a few posters of different hair styles, even if most people just ask for the same thing every time. It’s a steady life and we enjoy being part of the neighborhood. We stay open until the street lights come on and the evening rush slows down, usually packing up around eight or nine at night depending on the crowd.
