Lucky Hair Parlour

Lucky Hair Parlour is over on 80 Fit Road in Pushpa Nagar. We are at Shop No 4, which is a fairly easy spot to get to if you are in this part of Bhopal. It’s a straightforward hair shop for men and kids. We don't have any big signs or flashing lights outside. Just a simple door and a window. Inside, there’s usually the smell of talcum powder and aftershave. We have four chairs, though sometimes only two are working if someone is out for the day. The walls are painted a simple color and we have a few posters of different hairstyles that have been there for years. Most people just ask for the usual short back and sides. We don't do anything too fancy, just honest work with scissors. The 80 Fit Road is always busy with bikes and cars, so it’s a good place to sit and watch the world go by for a few minutes while waiting. We keep a stack of old newspapers and magazines on the table, though they’re mostly a bit torn now. It’s a friendly place where you don’t have to dress up to come in. Just show up as you are. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like part of the street. It’s just how we earn our living, one haircut at a time. The neighbors drop in often and it keeps the day moving along.
