Latif Hair Cutting Saloon is at 89, Chowki Imam Bada in Bhopal. This is an old part of the city, and the streets can be a bit narrow sometimes. Our shop has been here for a long time, and the walls have a few marks here and there from years of work. It’s a small space, but we make it work with what we have. Most of our customers are locals who live in the houses around the Imam Bada area. They come in for a shave or a haircut, and usually, they stay for a bit to talk. We don't have any big signs or bright lights outside, just the name on the door. Inside, the mirrors are a bit old, and the chairs have some wear on the armrests. We start early in the morning when it’s still a bit cool outside. The smell of the shaving cream and the sound of the scissors is what you notice when you walk in. It’s a quiet kind of place compared to the main roads. We don’t really change things much because the regulars like it the way it is. Sometimes a new person wanders in because they were visiting the area, but mostly it’s the same group of men every few weeks. We just keep our tools sharp and the floor swept as best as we can. It’s just a regular local shop in a regular part of Bhopal.
