Jameel Restaurant

You can find Jameel Restaurant over in Ibrahimganj, specifically tucked behind the Nadra Bus Stand. Because we are right by the Israni Market, the whole area is usually packed with people carrying bags or waiting for their next bus to leave. It is a loud place to work, but we are used to the engine noises and the shouting of the conductors by now. Our kitchen starts up early in the morning because that is when the first batch of travelers starts looking for something to eat. We do not have a complicated menu or anything like that. We just make the usual stuff that people in Bhopal like. The tables are basic and the chairs are just there for a quick sit-down before someone has to run to catch a ride. It gets pretty hot in here during the afternoons, so we keep the fans going as much as possible. Being behind the bus stand means we see a lot of different faces every single day. Some people are just passing through and others work in the Israni Market and come in every day for their lunch. We do not do any fancy plating or decorations. It is just a busy restaurant where the floors get swept a dozen times a day because of all the mud and dust people bring in from the street. We just try to keep the food ready and the tea hot.
