Empior Gents Hair Saloon

You can find Empior Gents Hair Saloon over at Shop No 20, right by Lily Talkies in Barkhedi. We are in the Jahangirabad area of Bhopal, and it’s always crowded near the cinema. Being near Bharat Talkies too means there is a lot of foot traffic. Our shop is a traditional place for men to get a haircut or a shave. We have these old, heavy chairs that have been here a long time. They are still very comfortable for the customers. The shop is small and the walls have a few old posters and calendars on them. We don't really go for a modern look. It’s just a regular saloon. Barkhedi is a noisy part of town, so you always hear the buses and the people shouting outside. We stay busy with the locals and sometimes people coming from the movies. We use simple tools, mostly scissors and clippers that we’ve had for years. There is usually a bit of a wait on Sunday mornings because everyone wants to look sharp for the week. We talk a lot about cricket or the local politics while we work. The floor is usually covered in hair until we get a break to sweep it. It’s just an honest, local shop where you can get a decent shave for a fair price. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time now.
